IraSME & CORNET Partnering Event - Stuttgart 2024

During our event we will provide you with information on our funding initiatives CORNET and IraSME and offer insights into successful projects. We have also invited our partner organizations to present services that may be beneficial for your project idea, such as the Enterprise Europe Network partner finding tool.

CORNET
SMEs are often confronted with challenges such as new security or environmental norms, new materials, or the need to innovate their production processes. Most SMEs lack financial and personnel resources to perform research activities that would be necessary to tackle these issues. Collective Research offers the solution: several enterprises of the same branch (or even across sectors) with a common pre-competitive problem join forces within a project consortium. Usually supported by an SME organisation, the project consortium receives funding for assigning a research organisation with the task of solving their problem. After the completion of such a research project, the results are widely distributed.

IraSME
The network offers funding for your innovative R&D project on the basis of national SME funding programmes that aim to foster the innovative capacity of SMEs. We fund innovative companies which want to develop new or significantly improve existing products, processes or technology-based services. Public and private non-profit research and technology organisations (RTOs) acting as a cooperation partner of an SME are also eligible in most of our partner countries’ funding programmes (otherwise acting as subcontractors). The network's calls for proposals are open to all sectors and fields of technology. Funded projects must be highly innovative, exceeding the international state of the art, have a high market potential, and entail a substantial technological risk. Funding is provided up to a prototype level. The outcome of the projects belongs to the project partners.

Enterprise Europe Network
The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) helps businesses to innovate and grow on an international scale. It is the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with international ambitions. The network is active worldwide. It brings together experts from member organisations that are renowned for their excellence in business support. The Enterprise Europe Network can also offer a targeted approach aimed specifically at your business sector. Its groups of experts cover all key economic sectors. In addition, the network will help companies increase their resilience and support SMEs in their transition to more sustainable and digital business models.
